Kale Chips

  • Serves 1 People

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon flaked sea salt
  • Any other seasoning of choice (see notes for suggestions)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300˚F (150˚C)
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. Using a knife or kitchen shears, carefully remove kale leaves from thick stems and tear into bite-sized pieces
  4. Wash & carefully dry kale with salad spinner or alternatively a paper towel
  5. Drizzle leaves with olive oil and toss to combine
  6. Spread the leaves out evenly on the baking sheet and sprinkle with salt/seasoning of choice
  7. Bake until the edges are brown and crispy (but not burnt!); we recommend 20 minutes with oven on, 10 minutes with oven off

Notes

  • Make sure the leaves are very dry
  • Don’t overdo the oil
  • Ensure that the leaves are not overlapping each other on the baking sheet
  • Try different seasonings along with salt! Here are some ideas
  • ○ Cumin
  • ○ Nutritional yeast
  • ○ Sriracha & lime
  • ○ Malt vinegar
  • ○ Maple syrup
